Hey, guys! Great news as Bosch: Legacy Season 2 is officially confirmed! TV’s grumpiest detective will be back in 2023 as Freevee actually renewed Titus Welliver series for Season 2 a week BEFORE it premiered in May. FYI, in April this year, Amazon launched IMDb TV, which was previously available only in the US, in the UK, and rebranded it as Amazon Freevee. A month after the debut of Bosch Legacy, the Bosch spin-off boasts sky-high viewer approval ratings: at 8.8 out of 10, it’s even higher than the already impressive score of 8.5 for the mothership series. By the way, in an interview with TVLine, Titus Welliver said that, technically, Legacy is a Season 8 of Bosch – it does not feel like a spin-off, but more like a natural progression of the original series. Also, just like the original, Legacy is based on Michael Connelly’s novels: Season 1 follows the 19th book, titled The Wrong Side of Goodbye, which came out in 2016. Harry’s new job as PI makes total sense, his daughter Maggie following in his footsteps and joining LAPD is a great new storyline and Mimi Rogers’ character Honey is now Harry’s ally. Michael Rose, who smashed it as Carl Rogers, replacing Max E. Williams, and Stephen Chang became two amazing additions to the cast. A 10-episode Season 2 is set for Spring 2023 release.
